The machine shop is prepared to carry out the construction of the most complex tools. The personnel working in the different areas are very skilled and professional technicians, and this is the reason why we can achieve a first class product and service.

In order to cut down on machining / polish times and on the global costs, we have high speed machines which are between 5 to 10 times faster than conventional ones. In addition we can get a better surface quality and dimensional tolerances more accurate.

With the 5-axis machining continuous high precision We can greatly improve the production, reducing the cost of tools and limiting the use of EDM, giving both better quality finishes, and allowing us to make more complex mechanisms. This is a change in our entire production system, we can reduce the work of erosion by 25% and also greatly affect the productivity of machining.

In the area where the assembly and adjustment of all the mould components is carried out, we make an exhaustive quality control, so as to guarantee a successful result in the first trial by obtaining optimum samples.

We have a Laser welding machine, to quickly make the modifications and repairs of molds.

Our fitting press, which has collapsible and movable plates, makes the fitting adjustment on both halves of the tool to be much easier.

Technical Office

The Technical Office has a team of skilled designers with considerable experience in the mould making industry. They study, develop and design the tools with the most up-dated means, using the most appropriated technology for each occasion.

They have CAD/CAM/CAE specific programs for moulds construction.

Make your enquiries on the chances you have to obtain various versions of different parts with the same tool, changing versions while the tool is on the machine.

We also have solutions for tools which mouldings are difficult to remove after injection, due to the number and to the complexity of the mechanisms required by the tool. We are ready to attend your enquiries referring feasibility of any project.

Processes are constantly up-dated, improving our working systems. All incoming and outgoing information is thoroughly checked. Every stage of the project is checked, in order to avoid failures and consequently extra costs.

CAM 5-axis machining continuous

 Moldes Barcelona’s department which dedicate entirely to make CAM programs, is equipped with the latest generation CAM programs, and due to their simulator systems help to spare failures, and they provide the machine’s operator with documentation containing all necessary information, including pictures of the results of the machining he is accomplishing.

We do design jobs, leading the whole project, and also working in parallel with the customer.

If a customer has an idea and he needs assistance with the study and development of final product, Moldes Barcelona place at his disposal the appropriated resources; equipments and technical personnel, so as to meet his requirements.

When tool maintenance is required by our customers our technicians use our 1400 kg. van to travel to their plant, taking with them all necessary tools to do the job, or to bring the mould to our shop, whatever is more convenient.

We have a Laser welding machine, to quickly make the modifications and repairs of molds.

All our departments co-operate with our customers in the maintenance of their tools, as well as with their repair.

To facilitate testing mold our client, it has equipped a space with equipment for injection and testing, and we have the support of the workshop to perform any modifications on the mold at the time of the test.
